Basketball Game Preview: Natrona County Mustangs vs. Kelly Walsh Trojans

Natrona County has won six straight games at home, while Kelly Walsh has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Natrona County Mustangs will host the Kelly Walsh Trojans at 5:30 p.m. One thing working in Natrona County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches.

Last Saturday, everything came up roses for Natrona County against Green River as the squad secured a 66-31 win. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kelly Walsh). They strolled past Rock Springs with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 74-57.

Kelly Walsh has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. Natrona County's win bumped their record up to 12-8.

Natrona County didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Kelly Walsh when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 45-39 victory.
