Basketball Recap: Los Molinos Drops Season-High Score on Biggs

Los Molinos and Biggs squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Los Molinos had to settle for second. They took an 89-85 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Biggs Wolverines. One positive for the Bulldogs, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Biggs' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brady Smith, who went 6-for-12 on his way to 23 points along with eight assists and six steals. That's the most steals Smith has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Skyler Long, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 17 boards.

Los Molinos' defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Biggs, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Los Molinos does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Biggs, they will square off against Plumas Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Plumas Charter will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Biggs surely won't give up without a fight.
