Basketball Game Preview: Mondovi Buffaloes vs. Elk Mound Mounders

Mondovi hasn't had much luck against Elk Mound recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mondovi Buffaloes will be playing in front of their home fans against the Elk Mound Mounders at 7:15 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Mondovi came up short against Colfax and fell 42-32. The Buffaloes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Elk Mound won against Elmwood/Plum City last Thursday with 69 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Elk Mound blew past Glenwood City, posting a 69-24 win. The Mounders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 20 points or more this season.

Elk Mound's victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.8 points per game. As for Mondovi, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.
