Basketball Recap: LKY Skates Past Illinois C with Ease

After losing to Illinois C the last time they met, LKY decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The LKY Saints blew past the Illinois C Crusaders 74-39 on Thursday. That 35 point margin sets a new team best for the Saints this season.

Ezekiel Taylor was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 15 points and nine boards. Monty Edwards was another key player, going 5-for-8 on his way to 12 points.

LKY has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-19 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points over those games. Illinois C is on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Looking ahead, LKY will square off against River City Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in LKY's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matchups. Illinois C does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
