Softball Recap: Mt. Vernon Takes a Loss

Mt. Vernon fell victim to Evansville North and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Huskies, falling 6-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Huskies: they've now lost six in a row.

Mt. Vernon's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Evansville North, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Vernon will head out to face off against Boonville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Evansville North, they will take on Evansville Memorial at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Huskies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
