Nordheim picks up third straight win at home

Recap: Nordheim Pirates vs. Louise Hornets

The Nordheim Pirates's three-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They skirted past Louise 29-26. The win was just what Nordheim needed coming off of a 61-14 loss in their prior contest.

Despite the defeat, Louise had strong showings from Natalie Roades, who scored 4 points along with 13 rebounds and 5 steals, and Hannah Ochoa, who scored 14 points. Roades is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last five games she's played. Paige Lutringer was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 11 rebounds.

Nordheim's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 1-3. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.7 points per game. As for Louise, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Nordheim will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on McMullen County at 6:15 p.m. on December 18th. As for Louise, they will face off against Goliad at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday. Goliad comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
