Baseball Game Preview: El Capitan Gauchos vs. Gregori Jaguars

The El Capitan Gauchos will face off against the Gregori Jaguars at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. El Capitan's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so Gregori's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

El Capitan took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Pitman a 7-0 shutout. The match marked the Gauchos' most dominant win of the season so far.

Phoenix Alexander looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jesse Saucedo, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Gaoiran, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Gregori sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over Central Valley on Friday.

The win got El Capitan back to even at 3-3. As for Gregori, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
