Softball Recap: Dimond Falls Short Against Ranked Bartlett

Dimond faced Bartlett in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Lynx fell just short of the Golden Bears by a score of 11-10. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Dani Herman made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Stillwell, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Dimond's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Bartlett, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Dimond has already played their next matchup, a 27-6 win against Bettye Davis East Anchorage on the 18th. As for Bartlett, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-1 victory against Service on the 18th.
