Softball Preview: Newark Memorial Cougars vs. Dougherty Valley Wildcats
The Newark Memorial Cougars will face off against the Dougherty Valley Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
After dropping their season opener at home, Dougherty Valley is headed out to face a Cougars team ready to give their home crowd a win. Newark Memorial fell 7-2 to Foothill on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now lost four in a row.
Newark Memorial saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mahlyah Sao, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
