Cherokee's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Claiborne with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for Cherokee in their matchups with Claiborne: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Unicoi County's offense. They came up short against Elizabethton on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Unicoi County now has a losing record of 4-5-1. As for Cherokee, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-4.
