Recap: St. John's Cadets vs. Paul VI Panthers
The St. John's Cadets are ranked highly in their home state, and on Sunday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of the Paul VI Panthers. St. John's came out on top in a nail-biter against Paul VI and snuck past 50-47. Winning may never get old, but St. John's sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. John's to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyndal Walker, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaidyn Harper, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
St. John's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-5. As for Paul VI, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11.
St. John's will head out on the road to take on The Academy of the Holy Cross at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully St. John's focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Sunday. As for Paul VI, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Mary's Ryken at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully St. Mary's Ryken focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Saturday.
