Baseball Recap: Riverdale Takes a Loss

Riverdale came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 22-11 to the Princeton Tigers. The loss continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

Landen Peterson was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Riverdale is 4-1 when Peterson posts two or more runs, but 3-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Gaege Heinsen, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

Riverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Princeton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4-1 record this season.
