Mt. Carmel always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Benton only posted an OBP of .062.
The victory (which was Mt. Carmel's third in a row) raised their record to 17-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games.
