Baseball Recap: Prairie Falls Short of Merino in the Playoffs

Prairie and Merino squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Prairie had to settle for second. They came up short against the Rams, falling 13-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Mustangs have suffered since April 1st.

Prairie's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Merino, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Prairie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Merino, they will square off against Akron at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Merino's pitchers better be ready for this one: Akron has averaged an impressive 11.2 runs per game this season.
