Basketball Game Preview: Spring Creek vs. East New York Family Academy

After both having extra time off, Spring Creek and East New York Family Academy will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Spring Creek is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.

Two weeks ago, Spring Creek had just enough and edged East New York Arts and Civics out 56-53. Given Spring Creek's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 264th, while East New York Arts and Civics is ranked 743rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, East New York Family Academy waltzed into their matchup two weeks ago with two straight wins... but they left with three. They secured a 63-58 W over the Eagles.

East New York Family Academy's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.4 points per game. As for Spring Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Spring Creek came up short against East New York Family Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 48-37. Can Spring Creek avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
