Softball Recap: Platt Tech Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Platt Tech finally came back down to earth on Monday. They lost 13-0 to the O'Brien RVT Condors. The shutout was out of character for the Panthers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

Platt Tech has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for O'Brien RVT, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Platt Tech will take on Wilcox RVT at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indian have averaged an impressive 13.7 runs per game this season. As for O'Brien RVT, they will head out on the road to square off against Wright Tech at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
