Recap: Boles Hornets vs. Wolfe City Wolves
The Boles Hornets lost against the Wolfe City Wolves back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Boles took a serious blow against Wolfe City, falling 45-7. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Boles in their matchups with Wolfe City: they've now lost six in a row.
Kole Lively threw for 39 yards on five of 17 attempts. On the ground, Zyheir Lucas rushed for 100 yards on only 14 carries.
Wolfe City was led to victory by Carson Herron and Cayden Herron. Herron rushed for 101 yards on only eight carries, while Herron gained 126 total yards and four touchdowns.
Boles has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Wolfe City, the victory was the third in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.
Boles will head out on the road to face off against Rivercrest at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Rivercrest is on a four-game streak of home losses, Boles a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Wolfe City will take on Honey Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
