Basketball Recap: Freeport Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Freeport extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-4. They were beaten by the Rockford Auburn Knights 86-48. The Pretzels were not able to make up for their loss to the Knights from their previous meeting back in February.

Despite the defeat, Freeport had strong showings from Andrew Seward, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 16 points, and Kazion Morehead, who posted 13 points and seven boards. Seward is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last eight games he's played dating back to last season. Demerion Douglas also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

As for Rockford Auburn, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Amir Danforth was his usual excellent self, shooting 58% from the field on his way to 28 points. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 45.7% field goal percentage. Champ Parker was another key player, going 5-for-11 en route to 11 points and six assists.

Looking ahead, Freeport will welcome Jefferson at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rockford Auburn, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 77-71 win against Lindblom on the 6th.
