Football Recap: Dublin Takes a Loss

If Dublin was feeling good fresh off their 26-6 takedown of Freedom on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Gaels took a hard 18-2 fall against the Amador Valley Dons on Tuesday. The Gaels were not able to make up for their defeat to the Dons from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Dublin's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Amador Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Dublin is set to take on their familiar foe Heritage at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Gaels 14, the Patriots 3.9) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Amador Valley will square off against rival Dougherty Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
