They were dealt a 50-20 defeat at the hands of the Wilbur Cross Governors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 48-12 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2021.

Travis Warren had a dynamite game for Wilbur Cross, rushing for 99 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, while also throwing for 65 yards and two touchdowns. Warren got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 54 yards. Another player making a difference was Montez Walton Jr., who rushed for 96 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
