Baseball Recap: Cesar Chavez Champions vs. Kellis Cougars
Cesar Chavez gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They never let the Kellis Cougars get on the board and left with a 20-0 win.
Andrew Garcia was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Garcia was even better at the plate, going a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles.
In other batting news, Adolfo Pacheco was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Eddie Pedroza, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
