Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Effingham walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Robinson Maroons with a sharp 8-1 win on Wednesday. Effingham might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 matches by three goals or more this season.

They hit Robinson with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Andrew Wagoner (3), Jake Niebrugge (2), Connor Delong (2), and Maicol Sefton.

The victory was the eighth in a row for Effingham, bringing their record up to 20-1-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 44 goals over those eight contests. As for Robinson, their loss dropped their record down to 6-13-1.

Effingham didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-0 victory against Staunton on the 25th. Robinson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
