Basketball Recap: San Diego Jewish Academy Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

San Diego Jewish Academy had won three straight home games and Jack Silberstein did his part to make it four on Thursday. The San Diego Jewish Academy Lions strolled past the Orange Glen Patriots with points to spare, taking the game 52-35 thanks in part to Silberstein, who dropped a double-double with 28 points and 23 boards. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Almog Mizan, who posted no points and four steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals.

San Diego Jewish Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points over those games. As for Orange Glen, they are on a 26-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-24.

San Diego Jewish Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-39 loss against Calvin Christian on the 4th. As for Orange Glen, they have also already played their next game, a 68-45 defeat against Classical Academy on the 31st.
