Soccer Recap: Downtown Doral Comes Up Short

There was early excitement for Downtown Doral after they claimed the first goal on Tuesday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Columbus Explorers by a score of 2-1.

Downtown Doral's goal came courtesy of Jose Uzcategui, which was the first he's scored this season.

Downtown Doral's loss dropped their record down to 8-4-2. As for Columbus, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6-4.

Downtown Doral didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 4-1 win against Divine Savior Academy on the 16th. As for Columbus, they will be playing at home against Archbishop McCarthy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Archbishop McCarthy's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
