Basketball Recap: Belvidere North Takes a Loss

Belvidere North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost to the Rockford East E-Rabs on the road by a 73-57 margin. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Thunder this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 74-39 back in December of 2024.

Sterling Hoarde was his usual excellent self, going 7 of 12 en route to 21 points for Rockford East. Another player making a difference was MiKwan Marshall, who posted seven points and seven assists.

Belvidere North's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Rockford East, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Belvidere North will take on Harlem at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Rockford East, they will face off against Rockford Auburn at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Rockford Auburn knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Rockford East likes a good challenge.
