On Wednesday, Taylor Prep came up short against Canton Preparatory and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, Chavez Academy kept a clean sheet against Merritt Academy on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 8-0 victory. Considering Chavez Academy have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Chavez Academy's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those five matchups. As for Taylor Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
