Softball Game Preview: Coosa Valley Academy Rebels vs. North River Christian Chargers

The Coosa Valley Academy Rebels will face off against the North River Christian Chargers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Coosa Valley Academy will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating North River Christian, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. Coosa Valley Academy came out on top against North River Christian by a score of 9-6 on Monday. The Rebels' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Chloe Mims spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up seven Ks. Those seven strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Rylee Carmack and Corlee Johnson did most of the damage at the plate: Carmack scored a run while going 3-for-4, while Johnson went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple. That's the most runs Johnson has posted since back in February of 2024. Seren Warmack was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Coosa Valley Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

North River Christian now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Coosa Valley Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
