Volleyball Recap: Cheylin Takes a Loss

Cheylin was the 2-0 winner over Rawlins County when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars fell just short of the Buffaloes by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Taylor McCarty paced Cheylin's offense, picking up 14 kills. McCarty got some help from Ashlyn Schields and her 29 assists. Natalyn Bursch controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Rawlins County found their leader in sophomore Jazmin Rodriguez, who had 13 digs and three assists.

Cheylin's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Rawlins County, their win bumped their record up to 3-8.

Cheylin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Decatur Community on the 13th. As for Rawlins County, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Weskan on the 13th.
