Soccer Recap: International Community's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but International Community had no problem doing just that on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Lake Mary Prep Griffins an 8-0 shutout. Hunter Mills was a massive factor in the win as he booted in five goals all by himself.

The victory (which was International Community's third in a row) raised their record to 15-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those three games. As for Lake Mary Prep, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

International Community will square off against Circle Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in International Community's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last three matches. Lake Mary Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
