Basketball Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. The game between them and the Southeast Pirates didn't end well, with the Liberty Leopards falling 55-38. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Leopards this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-30 back in January.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Southeast, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Looking ahead, Liberty will square off against Crestview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southeast, they will face off against Newton Falls at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Southeast has won three straight at home, while Newton Falls won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
