Basketball Recap: St. Elizabeth Skates Past Jamestown with Ease

St. Elizabeth was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Jamestown on Thursday. The St. Elizabeth Hornets claimed a resounding 74-41 victory over Jamestown. That looming 74-41 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Hornets yet this season.

St. Elizabeth was led to victory by Kyson Green and Gavin Williams. Green went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 20 points and six rebounds, while Williams dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Green a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Hodge, who posted 11 points.

St. Elizabeth smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

St. Elizabeth pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Jamestown, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.
