Football Recap: Carsten Back's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Prairie View over Westminster + How To Watch

Prairie View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Westminster Wolves, falling 49-28. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Thunderhawks of the 41-20 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Prairie View lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Carsten Back, who rushed for 90 yards, and also picked up 75 receiving yards.

Westminster's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kevan Bunton, who rushed for 136 yards and three TDs. Santana Soriano was another key passer, throwing for 263 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes.

Prairie View's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Westminster, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
