Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Holton). They secured a 52-46 W over the Bear Lake Lakers on Friday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Red Devils' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 398th, while the Lakers are ranked 58th).

Holton's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Bear Lake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Holton will take on Britton Deerfield at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Red Devils will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. As for Bear Lake, they will venture away from home to take on Mesick at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lakers will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 47.2 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
