Recap: Community Christian Cyclones vs. DASH United
The Community Christian Cyclones came tearing into Friday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat DASH 76-38 at home. The result was nothing new for Community Christian, who have now won six matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Community Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jared Kovach, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 10 rebounds. Kovach hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Evan Gattis, who scored 23 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds.
Community Christian has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 8-1 record. As for DASH, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.
Community Christian will head out on the road to face off against Ahoskie Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ahoskie Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 563rd, while Community Christian is ranked 165th). As for DASH, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Wake at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully South Wake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Saturday.
