McCollum had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Burbank Bulldogs by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Cowboys, who have now won ten matchups in a row.

McCollum had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-23, 25-4, 25-14.

Brooke Romo paced McCollum's offense, picking up 14 kills. Romo got some help from Ariannah Soto and her 21 assists. Finally, Romo was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high six blocks.
