Basketball Game Preview: Forsyth Country Day Furies vs. R.J. Reynolds Demons + How To Watch

Having just played yesterday, the Forsyth Country Day Furies will jump right back in to play the R.J. Reynolds Demons at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Forsyth Country Day's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.

Forsyth Country Day is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Charlotte Country Day School: they outscored them in every quarter. The Furies were the clear victors by a 63-38 margin over the Buccaneers on Friday. That 25 point margin sets a new team best for the Furies this season.

Lila Kelly was her usual excellent self, putting up 28 points. That's the most points she has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Gigi Lyons, who scored 15 points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for R.J. Reynolds, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with a 45-33 victory over West Stokes on Wednesday.

R.J. Reynolds found their leader in freshman Di'Misha Watson, who shot 62% from the field en route to 18 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jane Welch, who earned five points along with five rebounds and four blocks.

The win got R.J. Reynolds back to even at 1-1. As for Forsyth Country Day, their record now sits at 3-1.

Forsyth Country Day didn't have too much breathing room in their game against R.J. Reynolds in their previous meeting back in November of 2017, but they still walked away with a 43-37 victory.
