Football Recap: Oakmont Regional Falls to Norton in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Oakmont Regional had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a blow against the Norton Lancers, falling 50-14. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

David Roy threw for 63 yards and one touchdown.

Ryan Gitau was a one-man wrecking crew For Norton. as he rushed for 116 yards and one TD on only 13 carries. Those 116 rushing yards gave Gitau a new career-high.

Oakmont Regional didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 47-13 victory against Nauset Regional on the 13th. As for Norton, they have also already played their next contest, a 34-27 defeat against East Bridgewater on the 12th.
