Basketball Game Preview: Madison Jaguars vs. Ouachita Christian Eagles

The Madison Jaguars will face off against the Ouachita Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a five-game winning streak alive.

Madison will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Rayville, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Madison put the hurt on Rayville with a sharp 68-46 win on Tuesday. The Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Ouachita Christian hadn't done well against Delhi Charter recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Ouachita Christian came out on top against Delhi Charter by a score of 65-53. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 154th, while the Gators are ranked 345th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Madison has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 21 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Ouachita Christian, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-4.
