Volleyball Recap: Providence Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Providence Academy was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Breck on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions fell just short of the Blake Bears by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Providence Academy actually scored more points across those five sets (113-106), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-21, 27-25, 12-25, 17-15.

Peyton Grande paced Providence Academy's offense, picking up 14 kills. Grande got some help from Aubrey Miller and her 19 assists. Miller was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Providence Academy's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-7. As for Blake, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Providence Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Cotter on the 19th. Blake has also already played their next contest (against Breck), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
