Volleyball Recap: Mechanicsburg Has No Trouble Against Catholic Central

Mechanicsburg won the last time they faced Catholic Central and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Indians put the hurt on the Irish with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Indians as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-15, 25-16.

Among those leading the charge was Kenzie Stillings, who had 12 digs and one assist. Sydnee Hurst also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Mechanicsburg was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matchups.

Mechanicsburg's record now sits at 5-8. As for Catholic Central, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mechanicsburg will face off against Northeastern at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Catholic Central, they will take on Belmont at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
