Basketball Recap: Lawrence-Nelson Sets Scoring Season-High Against Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood]

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lawrence-Nelson). They took down Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] 60-42 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Raiders considering their 21-point performance the match before.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lawrence-Nelson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Wyatt Frey, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. The contest was Frey's third in a row with at least ten points. Caden Culbertson was another key player, going 6 for 8 on his way to 17 points and six rebounds.

Lawrence-Nelson was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory got Lawrence-Nelson back to even at 3-3. As for Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood], they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Lawrence-Nelson will challenge Hampton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood], they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Maywood/Hayes Center at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
