Soccer Recap: Jim Thorpe Comes Up Short

Jim Thorpe lost against Southern Lehigh back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Olympians came up short against the Spartans, falling 7-1. While losing is never fun, Jim Thorpe can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 435th, while Southern Lehigh are ranked 95th).

Jim Thorpe's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Southern Lehigh, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Jim Thorpe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southern Lehigh, they will face off against Moravian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
