Basketball Game Preview: Branson Bulls vs. Benicia Panthers

The Branson Bulls will face off against the Benicia Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Branson is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Marin Catholic just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 58-57 to the Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Bulls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Wildcats are ranked 38th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Benicia duked it out with Campolindo on Friday. The Panthers took an 81-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (56), the Panthers still had to take the loss.

Branson's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Benicia, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.
