Basketball Recap: Gorton Comes Up Short

Gorton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Barack Obama School for Social Justice Lightning, falling 78-47. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 82-49 back in December of 2024.

Barack Obama School for Social Justice's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zaylin Mullins led the charge by putting up 15 points. Seediya Jabbi was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 13 boards.

Gorton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Barack Obama School for Social Justice, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-6.
