Volleyball Recap: Northwest Christian Wolverines vs. Mary Walker Chargers

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Northwest Christian can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Mary Walker Chargers on Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-13, 20-25, 25-15.

Even though they lost, Northwest Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 24 consecutive matches.

Leading Mary Walker to victory were Aubrey Ferguson and Sydney Zollman. Ferguson had 28 digs and two aces, while Zollman had 12 digs, a kill, and 29 assists. Zollman has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 13 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Eloisa Trento, who had 16 digs and two aces.

Northwest Christian's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Mary Walker, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 23-10.
