Softball Recap: Colfax Takes a Loss

Colfax lost to Oakmont back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Falcons came up short against the Vikings, falling 11-1. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly ten runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Colfax and nudges their season record down to 6-8. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 12-8 Bear River (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 56.1% over those games). As for Oakmont, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Colfax will challenge rival Marysville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Oakmont is set to face off against their familiar foe Bear River at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
