Softball Recap: Wylie Extends Winning Streak to Three

Wylie never let their opponents score on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 12-0 margin over the Castleberry Lions. Considering the Bulldogs have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the third in a row for Wylie, bringing their record for this year to 7-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Castleberry, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9-1 record this season.

Wylie and Castleberry's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Wylie and Georgetown (who has only given up 3.17 runs per game) will meet at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Castleberry will take on East View at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, a squad that's only allowed 3.78 runs per game.
