Basketball Recap: Dadeville Comes Up Short

Dadeville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Beauregard Hornets 46-17. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-17 last Friday.

Kam Torbert was her usual excellent self, going 7 of 12 on her way to 20 points in addition to eight steals and six boards for Beauregard. Those eight steals gave Torbert a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kalise Culbertson, who posted eight points and five steals.

Dadeville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Beauregard, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Dadeville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-17 loss against Waterloo on the 19th. As for Beauregard, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 33-22 victory against Reeltown on the 20th.
