Greenway came tearing into Friday's matchup with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Prescott Badgers 15-5. 15 seems to be a good number for the Demons as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Madison Bailey was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on TAYLOR BORUP, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. Kaitlyn Bennett was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.

Greenway's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Prescott, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenway will welcome Thunderbird at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Demons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season. As for Prescott, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Westview at 3:00 p.m.
