Soccer Game Preview: Hardin-Jefferson vs. Vidor

The Hardin-Jefferson Hawks will head out on the road to challenge the Vidor Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hardin-Jefferson's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was Little Cypress-Mauriceville who was credited with the win on Tuesday. Little Cypress-Mauriceville got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Hardin-Jefferson's three.

Vidor is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Lumberton, falling 9-1. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 781st, while the Raiders are ranked 262nd).

Vidor's goal came courtesy of Diego Sanchez-Rebollo, who's now up to two this season.
